Joel Slemrod and Michael Keen with Interim Dean Mills on “Rebellion, Rascals, and Revenue: Tax Follies and Wisdom through the Ages”

Authors, Joel Slemrod and Michael Keen, will join the Salem Center along with Interim Dean Lillian Mills to discuss their book “Rebellion, Rascals, and Revenue: Tax Follies and Wisdom through the Ages”.

Michael Keen is Deputy Director of the Fiscal Affairs Department of the International Monetary Fund, where he was previously head of the Tax Policy and Tax Coordination divisions. Before joining the Fund, he was Professor of Economics at the University of Essex and visiting Professor at Kyoto University.

Joel Slemrod is the Paul W. McCracken Collegiate Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, and Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics. He also serves as Director of the Office of Tax Policy Research, an interdisciplinary research center housed at the Ross School of Business.
